The surfaces should be able to sort and guide cells by its topography, act as ligand for cell receptors and release drugs and growth factors for prolonged periods of time. We use nerve cells in organ culture for the cell studies and molecular imprinting and nano techniques to create the intelligent surfaces.
The applicant’s undergraduate education should include biology chemistry and physics Previous experience of organ culture of nervous tissue, polymer chemistry and or molecular imprinting is highly desirable.
